Thank you - Jim Stateczny - Museum Curator Accomplishments: CASI Attorney of Record for many years/Member of 1st CASI Board. Another figurehead on the 1st CASI Board, serving as Secretary, Treasurer and Executive Director was Pat Irvine King. After Pat’s 7-year stint on the Board was over, she remained as legal advisor to the organization. Pat began cooking her Classic Chili Carousel in 1981 and immediately became involved in the organization. She served as Classic CASI’s Great Pepper, as well as the SAP CASI Great Pepper. Pat was the Terlingua Head Judge from 1991-1997. She was instrumental in the organization of the Ladies State Chili Championship Committee and a member of the CASI Scholarship Committee. Pat was proud to have placed at TICC in 1983, followed by a 3rd place win in 1984 and placing 9th in 1998. She was awarded the Houston Pod’s Chili Hall of Flame Award in 1988. Pat and Ray created the Terlingua Chili History Archives & Museum Trust on which she served as an Officer and Director. |
