The Virtual Museum of CASI History

1987: Wrote the Tallymaster Program with the help of Ralph Hay who was Tallymaster at the time.

1992: Wrote the Tally program which is still being used to tally judging sheets at chili and BBQ cookoffs all over the world.

1994: Joined the CASI Board of Directors, and soon became the CASI Treasurer where he reorganized CASI’s accounting system and installed his own accounting software.

1997: Acquired the domain name of CHILI.ORG and developed CASI’s first web site, which was used by CASI until he retired in 2016.

Wrote programs to process CASI membership, cookoffs, and qualification points. Reorganized printing of the Terlingua Trails and published the paper for several years. Wrote software to provide cooks access to points earned at cookoffs they competed in. Provided server to host his software, via the internet, at absolutely no charge to CASI. With the assistance of Jim Ezell, Hut Brown and Tom Williams, created the CASI Scholarship Program. Served on the CASI Board for 10 years as CASI Treasurer and provided software through his company Hill Country Software and Support, Inc.
